Hi! Thanks for downloading these photos. What happened? -------------- First, please let me apologize. Some factors were beyond my control. Other times I was confused. Some lazy. In the end, I think it worked out for the best. I offered to put our images on disc because I had already been doing this for my employer. My home computer was faster than my office computer, plus I had iDVD software. This software not only burned DVDs (which Toast does too) but at the time it also created very easy, elegant DVD menus and so on. So I was very popular for providing this service. Too popular. I crashed my hard drive. I managed to copy off essential data to a small external drive -- the reunion photos being some of that data -- but for a long time couldn't afford to replace the internal drive, so I limped along on a very patchy system. Later, when I replaced the drive, and restored all the software, I began trying to catch back up on disc burning, for the demand for the service didn't stop. Our reunion project (being volunteer) was relegated to the back burner. For a long time. When the 5 year reunion mark approached, I began thinking I could get the discs burned for that... but then I didn't hear about when it was, and then later I found out that I missed it. The reunion discs went to the back burner. Then, during successive upgrades, Apple eliminated iDVD. Then they replaced iPhoto, where I still had the culling of our files. So, now they were no longer culled. Culling is the most tedious aspect of this kind of thing. I loathed to do it again. Somewhere in all of this, DVDs became unpopular. I mean, they were still great for home movies (BluRay has not quite caught on), but people just started sharing data via USB flash drives, or via Facebook/Instagram/etc. So I decided to NOT burn to DVD anyway. That brings us to today. You can just download the images and do what you will with them. If you gave me money to ship them to you 10 years ago, I'm still happy to do that, or if I see you at Homecoming, I'll return the funds; its up to you.
